Included amongst ’10 of Britain’s most exciting landscape photographers’ by The Great Outdoors Magazine.
Based near Inverness in Scotland, I am a multi award-winning professional photographer.
My work covers many aspects of outdoors photography, but it is my images of Scotland’s mountain landscapes and wildlife for which I am best known. Coming from a background of hill-walking and mountaineering, I focus on capturing moments of fleeting light and exceptional conditions in some of the Highland’s remotest locations.
I am a regular contributor to some of the UK’s most respected outdoors and photography magazines, and I am frequently commissioned to shoot cover images and lead-feature articles. I work with a wide variety of clients – from conservation charities and adventure equipment brands, to film-makers and best-selling authors.
Since 2016, I have been guiding a variety of popular wildlife photography workshops in the Cairngorms National Park and on the Black Isle. Between 2017 and 2021, I operated the most popular pine marten hide in the UK, and I have since focused more on one-to-one guiding.
My images have won numerous national awards. I have been a category-winner in The British Wildlife Photography Awards, the Scottish Landscape Photography of the Year, and the British Photography Awards.
I am one of the judges of the 2023 Scottish Nature Photography Awards.
I am a photographic contributor to Scotland: The Big Picture, and my images are represented by The Nature Picture Library.
