For the past few years we’ve had access to a brilliant woodland site on the Black Isle, which has offered consistently successful results for photographing red squirrels. We’ve had a 99% success rate for visitors seeing squirrels for several years.

Visitors to the Highlands often have red squirrels at very top of their list of species they want to photograph, and for good reason. They are beautiful and charismatic animals, and without doubt one of the most photogenic mammals found in the UK.

What’s included?

– A 6 hour session in a comfortable wooden hide.
– As much or as little photographic guidance as you require! Our visitors range from absolute beginners to semi-professionals. I can provide photographic tuition, or if you prefer – leave you to enjoy your session in the hide by yourself.
– Advice on image post-production if required.
– The option to include a 3 hour crested tit photography session for an additional £30 (£90 total).

 – Typically we don’t provide transport to and from the hide, so having access to your own vehicle is preferable. If this is a problem, please be in touch and we’ll have a chat to discuss options.
