Winter begins

Ptarmigan in early winterWinter has arrived on Scotland’s hills. A ptarmigan high in the Cairngorms this week.

A November dolphin at Kessock‘Kesslet’ just off Inverness harbour on a very cold morning. Although spotted far less frequently at this time of year, the dolphins are still finding some late salmon to hunt.
